Uoreno Marte was born in Milan, Italy, into a highly educated family. His father was a professional musician who played second trombone with "L'Orchestra della Scala". His mother sung alto in the "Coro della Scala" until leaving to raise the children and keep house. His parents were typically Roman Catholic though not regular church goers.

Uoreno was a quiet child and loved to draw and paint. He was good at schoolwork and excelled in the sciences. He was also a talented footballer but lacked the application to reach the highest level, being easily distracted by girls, friends and of course music.

Being the child of professional musicians, Uoreno was surrounded by music from his birth and showed talent at the violin at an early age. He took up classical piano tuition at 12 but it wasn't long after this that he was exposed to rock music and when some friends were forming a rock band he dropped his classical studies in favour of the bass guitar, since that was the instrument the band needed.

He played in a number of rock bands in his twenties in clubs around Milan and Rome but struggled to earn enough to pay the rent. In his thirties he turned to Jazz and achieved moderate success backing the well known "Angela degli Angeli" during her golden era.

In 2004 Uoreno joined "The Martian Way" after meeting Warren Mars on a skiing holiday in Switzerland in 2003.
