Albums are the proven audio format of choice for contemporary human beings. At 40-60 minutes long they provide a comfortable sized meal for the ears, not so long that you lose interest but long enough to satisfy. At The Martian Way we believe in the album format, furthermore we believe in the concept album format. It is my experience that all the great musical albums take one on a journey, like a good book, at the end you feel that you have been somewhere... somewhere else. Our albums are all intended to achieve that end.

I intend to release 5 or 6 rock albums under this vehicle, most of the material is already written, I need only arrange, record and process it. Mind you, even that still takes quite some time.

"A Young Man's Love" is the first of these albums. It was planned and assembled as a whole album from the time it occurred to me. The songs tell a story in order and the keys and tempi are carefully chosen to suit that order so that each song contrasts effectively with its neighbours.

You can expect the future albums to be similarly thematic, cohesive and complete.
